In an attempt to keep the meeting green, we limited the number of publication handouts that were printed. An online copy of Guy Baldassarre's writing handout is now available here. After the meeting this handout will be available on the AOU student activities web page (http://www.aou.org/student/activities.php3).
A necessary part of every scientists training is getting published. This can often be challenging to new students unfamiliar with the process. This year’s workshop will host editors from peer-reviewed journals who will discuss how to: choose an appropriate journal, understand peer review, respond to reviewers and deal with rejection. It will cover everything you wanted to know about publishing but were afraid to ask.
This workshop is primarily aimed towards students and young professionals, though it is open to anyone with an interest in learning the ins and outs of getting published. Advanced sign up is not required.
The workshop will take place from 6:30 - 7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 5 after the scientific sessions.
